EMDR Intensives

More progress.
Less waiting.

Weekly therapy is great. But sometimes you want to go deeper, faster. Intensives give you a longer window to do that, with preparation and integration built in so nothing gets left unfinished.

What makes it different

It's not just longer.
It's different.

In weekly therapy, you spend the first part of every session getting back into the work. Then you get maybe 20 minutes of actual processing before you have to close up and go home. Then you wait a week and do it again.

An intensive removes all of that friction. You warm up once, stay in it, and actually move through things. Breaks are built in so you don't get overwhelmed. Most people leave feeling like they did months of work in a day or two.

Momentum

We stay in the work instead of restarting every week.

Efficiency

6 hours covers what takes months of weekly sessions.

Flexibility

Evening and weekend scheduling. No need to rearrange your whole week.

Depth

Longer sessions mean more complete processing from start to finish.

Good to know

Virtual only, available throughout Maryland and Delaware. Evening and weekend scheduling available.

Intensives are designed for people who are emotionally stable enough to do trauma processing. We figure out together whether it's the right fit before we schedule anything.

Reach Out

Common Questions

Things people ask before reaching out.

How do I know if I'm ready for an intensive?

Intensives work best for people in a stable enough place to do trauma processing. If you're not sure, just reach out and we'll talk it through together before committing to anything.

Is virtual EMDR actually effective?

Yes. Research supports it and I've seen it work really well. You'll need a private space, reliable internet, and headphones. That's it.

Will it feel overwhelming?

Trauma work can bring up strong feelings. That's expected. Breaks are built in and I'll never push you past what you can handle. The goal is progress, not overwhelm.

What happens after?

Integration support is included in the Deep Dive and Two-Day packages. We'll also create a follow-up plan so the work continues after we're done.
